Editorial policy

�Linux Athena’ encourage its users to contribute to our site through sharing articles, or spreading their word about GNU/Linux or about our site. We encourage our users to write articles to make �Linux Athena’, a repository of knowledge about GNU/Linux and tools from free & open source software. �Linux Athena’ promotes usage of GNU/Linux and at large Free & Open Source Software; and offer educational and useful material that supports the mission of �Linux Athena’, our users, and the Linux Community at large. We accept and publish blogs and articles that meet guidelines (given below); and are original or reproduced with permission.

Policies

  1. Don’t post anyone else’s copyrighted or confidential material that you don’t have permission to use.
  2. Don’t post anything vulgar, inflammatory, pornographic, etc.
  3. Don’t post spam.
  4. Don’t post to sell something. You can talk about your project but don’t just write to promote it.
  5. Don’t use too many metalinks and tags. You can’t just write to boost your SEO.
  6. Don’t post about anything out of GNU/Linux or FOSS world. If you’re unsure about your topic that if it come under our categories, then you can make your query using contact page and we’ll let you know about  your topic.
  7. Anything you write on Linux Athena will be property of LinuxAthena.com

If you violate these rules, then your post will be removed and you will be warned about it. Second violation will lead to suspension of your account.

Guidelines

  1. Please use English language for writing articles..
  2. Place links to �Linux Athena’ pages in your posts where-ever applicable.
  3. Use graphics and screenshots. Pictures enhance the understandability and quality of the article.
  4. Try not to be redundant. Make sure the content is not reproducing a topic that is already posted on LinuxAthena.com. Duplicate topics that overlap too much will not be published, so check the site (or better check Sitemap ) first before working on your content.
  5. Tone down the foul language. You can say what you need to say clearly and without harassing anyone.
