What does Linux Athena’ mean?

Linux is the free and open source operating system (actually a kernel). Athena is the Goddess of Wisdom’ according to Greek mythology.

So, literally, Linux Athena means place of knowledge about GNU/Linux. And according to the goal of Linux Athena, it is a place to learn and share knowledge about GNU/Linux and other free & open source software. It is a community, by the people who know free and open source; and for the people who need help in it.

How Linux Athena’ started?

Ashutosh is an active learner and supporter of GNU/Linux from years. After blogging and helping to spread knowledge about Linux and other Free & Open Source Software, he thought to do something more productive. In his curiosity, he launched Linux Athena’ to support and make GNU/Linux easy for newcomers. He call for community support to empower it with people’s ideas and skills. Today, Linux Athena is trying to guide people who want to use free software. People here, make Linux newbies, easy to choose and use GNU/Linux and get along with it naturally.

NOTE: We believe “ Learning is a life-long process “. We too are learners like everyone. We share our knowledge, as our belief says wisdom should be free .
